I ran an easy 3 miles over lunch today. I had a little tweak in my foot at the end of my interval workout yesterday (somewhat reminiscent of my feet problems after the marathon). So, I took it easy. One very encouraging sign... I was truly taking it easy and easy came in the form of 9:20 pace. That's pretty cool. Don't know if it was just a good day or I've improved. I guess we'll see soon.

Keep up those tempo runs. They are hard at first but they exactly what you describe...make faster paces seem easier. It just develops over several weeks.
I'm looking forward to it.
Read a few of your past posts.
It really is hard to keep to the straight and narrow isn't it? I lose the weight, keep on working out and it sneaks back on. And then I need to look at what I'm eating. Finally, I need to look into the dark parts and find the reasons why those old habits haven't been broken.
Keep on going - think of your kids and your wife - that has to be huge motivation for you.
Greg... You're so right. I think it lies somewhere in the dark parts at this point. It's certainly not a function of how much I'm working out. Gotta get a hold of it though. Memorial Day Weekend (and 3 picnics) isn't helping that.
