NOVA Marathon Challenge

I realize that this is old news, but I just got around to watching the NOVA marathon documentary. I had the day off and I'm a running geek. So, this is how I spend my day off... trolling for running stuff. It was parallel to my journey to the MCM this year and I really enjoyed it. It took 13 sedentary people and trained them for 9 months to run the Boston Marathon. It tracked their progress and really showed some of the challenges of marathon running. But, it also showed that it can be done and you don't have to be superhuman. That's what I did with my day off. If you are interested.... They have it in five chapters on their website and it takes about 50 minutes to watch.

Here's the link.

Glad you got the chance to watch this. Wasn't it just really great to watch their progress? Funny, I wrote a post about it too! (http://seecoreyrun.blogspot.com/2007/11/tv-show-review-novas-marathon-challenge.html).

A very fun show to watch! Guess we are both running geeks, eh? ;-)

Thanks for the link.

Just wanted to let you know that it's cold here today, too. 57 F outside right now and the high is only supposed to be 63. Yesterday it was almost 80.

No problem Greg... However, I hardly qualify 57 F as cold. I'm jealous.

I started watching it on Tivo the night before the Harrisburg Marathon, but I had to stop because I was getting nervous hearing about all of the injuries people in the group were encountering. I finished watching it the next day and enjoyed the program.
